My name is Diane and I’ve been teaching French to foreigners since 2006. I offer group and individual workshops, both face-to-face and online, as well as outings and activities based around French culture and the Montpellier region in particular.

I was born in Savoie and began by studying art history. These studies took me to Arles, then to the Hérault, by the sea… my dream! After a few years working in heritage and culture, I decided to go back to school in Montpellier. With a Master’s degree in French as an Integration Language, I’ve already helped dozens of people (adults, children, professionals, students, jobseekers), whatever their objectives or level. I offer structured and fun workshops in the region of Agde, Béziers, Sète, etc. at home or in the zoom. I adapt to your pace and expectations.

I started Zoom classes during the lockdown in 2020 with another lady and Diane. The classes are interactive, fun and interesting, which is reflected in the amount of work she puts into them. They are tailored to our level of French and our interests, with a good mix of speaking, listening and grammar. I have no hesitation in recommending Diane to help you improve your French, whether a beginner or more advanced. Diane prepared a program which helped me to improve my confidence and fluency with the language. Using memory aids and games, we focussed around the themes of the "livret du citoyen" culture, history, and the rest, learning appropriate ways to discuss the themes with the interviewer. Thanks to the preparation with Diane, I went to the interview calm and confident, was able to adequately exchange with the interviewer, who told me that my interview had been satisfactory, and I was notified of my naturalisation some time later. Thank you Diane. Sue Graham2023-12-04Trustindex vérifie que la source originale de l'avis est Google. Diane is an excellent teacher. She helped us greatly improve our French skills. She is very good at making corrections, explaining the right way to say things, and suggesting tips and tools for remembering the things you learned going forward. Diane is funny and personable and will put you at ease with her comfortable style. I would highly recommend Diane to anyone who wants to learn or improve their ability to speak French. Diane is an amazing instructor, and I would highly recommend her in the classroom setting or a more informal environment. While I was in France for school and taking formal French classes, Diane helped to supplement my classroom instruction. She was able to help enhance my French language learning, by explaining difficult concepts in a way that allowed for easier learning. Being from Texas and with little exposure to French, I truly benefited from Diane’s patience and relaxed teaching style. I appreciated that I was able to provide Diane with specific issues I was having with French (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, etc.) and we could focus on those for a session, or we could have a more free-flowing session and practice more conversational aspects of French. Additionally, there were several occasions where Diane substituted for my formal French instructor at the school I was attending and she seamlessly took over the lesson, providing phenomenal French instruction in a more formal environment. This is a testament to her teaching ability, knowing that my French instructor would not allow just anyone to take over his class. If you want to learn French from scratch, supplement your current French classes, or just need a refresher, I highly recommend Diane. Diane has helped me progress with my French from beginners level to intermediate. She is an excellent teacher, always sensitive and supportive. She is very lively with a great sense of humour, so her sessions are never boring. She changes the activity, but always in an interactive style, so that you speak, listen, do (a little) writing and learn some essential grammar along the way
